We signed the contract on our apartment about a month ago, and it has taken nearly that entire month for us to transform it from the empty apartment it was into our home in Germany.  Here is a little sampling of the patterns that make up our place.  Jason has prepared a wonderful tour for you, complete with pictures and commentary.  Just click here and enjoy.  Let us know what you think too!

It is amazing that something we lived just fine without a little over a decade ago has now become such a necessity in life.  Yes, I am talking about the internet.  Jason and I moved into our apartment just about a month ago, and are still waiting for the ability to access the wonderful world wide web.  Deutsche Telekom (T-mobile in Germany) has the monopoly here, so even though we went with a cheaper provider, we have to wait for Telekom to grant access to them…and that can take a while.  With all that said, we have a technician coming to our place on the 8th and hope to have it all squared away in no time another week or two.
Now, here are some photos of Jason doing what he does for about 8 hours each work day.  These were taken quite a few weeks ago, when it was much warmer outside.  My favorite by far is the second to last shot.  That is all I have for now, but very soon we would like to introduce you to our new apartment.  It is small but cozy.  We can’t wait to show you the little space we call home over here in Deutschland!
